Yet another week where I've not been able spend a lot of time on hobbies - but this week it was due to urgent repair work being required on the Bunker itself so I can't complain.
That being said I have managed to reach a milestone - all of the figures needed for next months Ronin game have now been complete - hurrah!!
Firstly the Sohei (Monks) that appeared in my last blog entry were varnished and based...
Next a new faction has been completed - the Bushi Buntai, that now means I have four playable Buntai for the game.
I did toy with the idea of not putting the back banners on these figures as I'm convinced they will drop off once the figures are used in anger, but I think they do make the figures a little more interesting. Fortunately for me Perry Miniatures make transfers of Samurai 'mons', so I was spared trying to freehand a pattern which I'm sure would have ended in tears.
And finally as a bonus I painted up a Japanese female character to be used as a scenario objective - although now I've seen the uploaded the image she will be going back to the painting table for a re-work of her face - poor thing looks like she's auditioning for the part of Two-Face in the next Batman film.
My next task for this game is to create a roster sheet for each Buntai using this template, put here in case anyone would like to use it.
I'm going to enhance this by adding photos of each figure next its roster entry to ease identification during play.
And the shortened work week means there is yet again no Marvel figure for show.
