Japanese Week

Hopefully not the start of a bad blogging habit - but this is a over a week late.

With real life 'stuff' getting in the way I did not get as much time in the bunker as I had hoped but I did manage to progress a few things.

Firstly, finished painting another couple of Japanese peasant dwellings. I'm reasonably happy with the way they look as I continue to use the cheap acrylics from the Works to progress the work. They may not stand up to close scrutiny but as a terrain piece viewed from a couple of feet away (at least) and with my aging eyesight they'll do the trick.

I have also started to paint a Japanese Bandit warband - these will be used initially for skirmish gaming using the Osprey Ronin set of rules. I've owned the rules for some time but had never used them, however someone at the local games club ran a game of this last month and I must say I liked the way it played.

The figures are from Warlords Erehwon range and on receiving them I found them to be well sculpted and went together nicely (there wasn't a lot of assembly involved to be honest).

Here's the progress so far (photography is not my forte)...

Hopefully these will be finished this week, if Mrs. P can stop adding new tasks to the house job list.
