An early post as all of the 'fun stuff' has been completed for the week and the rest of the week will see me doing work not worth photographing or blogging about.
The focus this week was on progressing a number of sci-fi bits in preparation for the upcoming Stargrave campaign (not that there is an agreed date for that yet).
Firstly there were a number of scatter type scenery items to paint.
This first batch came out of the Aliens: Assets and Hazards set; a couple of hard plastics sprues designed to replace some of the counters in the Aliens board-game, for the price a reasonable amount of scenery.
These pieces came out of the Terrain Crate: Starship Scenery box set, again a reasonable amount of scenery but this time in a soft plastic which does result in some items needing reshaping before painting.
The next items off of the painting queue were a selection of starship crewmen, these are from the official Stargrave plastic range. I have two boxes of these, Crewmen and Mercenaries, and am mix and matching from each to create each figure.
I chose only to paint a couple of figures at a time not moving on until each pair was completed and I quite enjoyed this more focused approach. The figures lend themselves to contrast paints having quite defined detail, which as you'll know from reading my blog is now my preferred painting medium.
And this week two more Marvel figures were painted, firstly Lockjaw.
And then Medusa (who's hair colour I have since discovered is probably more red than orange - ah well).
So for the rest of the week, apart from a quick tidy of the Bunker I'm going to be creating new transportation/storage boxes for some of my figures with this stuff.
Told you it would not be worth photographing ;-)
Until next time!!
All very weird. Keep it up.
